Lisbon Congress Centre

The 84th Congress of the European Orthodontics Society will take place at the Lisbon Congress Centre, situated in Praça das Indústrias. Overlooking the Tagus River, in a prestigious area of the city (in Junqueira/Belém historical quarter), the Congress Centre is about 20 minutes from Lisboa International Airport and 15 minutes from the main hotels in the city. The Lisboa Congress Centre’s facilities include: 8 auditoriums (seating from 125 to 1.700 people): 8 meeting rooms (seating from 20 to 360 people): a total exhibition area of 6.000 sq.m; reception and area facilities as well as a modern cafeteria and catering services. The access is easy either by tram or by bus from the city centre. The growth in the Lisbon Congress Centre’s activities has been particularly outstanding from 1995 onwards, going from 120 events in 1995, with a total of 55,000 participants, to 250 events in 1999, with 180,000 participants. This has been a fundamental factor in making Lisbon one of the most popular destinations in the world for congresses and international conferences.
